Sorry it's been so long since the last Front Page Update - Right : a new trip report from Phil Quill, and a Campfire Conversation with Sean Morley. Enjoy.

From the Web - want to make your own Greenland Paddle? Check out the Baker Brothers site, or (if you'd like a carbon fibre one), check out Duane Strosaker's page. If you'd like to build your own boat to go with it, here's some great pics of the build of a Chesapeake 17. Shaman Kayaks site is a "must see", with wonderful images of boats, paddles and other traditional goodies.

Take a look at the new Expedition Database from Cackle TV - Justine is "trying to create a comprehensive list of all notable seakayaking expeditions." Do you want your own woodburning stove? Here's one! If you're a Kelly Kettle fan, click through and read all about it.

If Safety is paramount for you, and you fancy trying Radar Reflectors, check this .PDF (2.46 MB) looking at the "radar visibility" of kayaks.

The latest issue of the Canadian on-line mag Wave Length is now available for download - the focus is on "Paddling Partners". (8.48 MB .PDF)

More in the Almanac - Here's another Technical Article from Cailean, this one is Part 2 of "Understanding Wind" (57KB .PDF) - Part 3 coming soon. Many of the Almanac pages have been reorganised to make the vast amount of material more accessible, and there are also lots of additions. Check it out.

UKSKGB Clothing - we've resolved the supplier difficulty, and goodies are now available from our new supplier! Polo shirts, hoodies, sweat shirts, hats, fleeces are all available with our clothing logo embroidered on them - T shirts with the logo printed. See here for ordering details! (Thanks to Ann at Kari-Tek for suggesting the supplier)

Have you got pictures, a trip report, a suggestion for a useful link or something you'd like to add to UKSKGB?

Could you add a "technical article" under any of the headings in the Almanac?

Your contribution is welcome - this mail link will get it to me.
